IGRS Vice-President and Fellow Roz McCutcheon gave a very knowledgeable and practical talk on using the Registry of Deeds for genealogy at the ‘Finding Your Ancestor’s one-day genealogy conference in Cork on Saturday, 19th March. The conference was a collaborative event between the IGRS and Cork Genealogical Society and was attended by approximately 200 people at the Clayton Silver Springs Hotel, Cork.
For the IGRS, it formed part of the celebrations making 2016 as the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Society in 1936.
While speaking at the event, Roz promised that as an addition to her talk she would make available a seven page guide to researching in the Registry of Deeds. You can download her guide here: Researching Registry of Deeds.
